Da der Wettergott ein Einsehen hatte, bin ich gestern spontan zum Straßentheater Festival am Alex gefahren.

Der Alex ähnelt derzeit einem Rummelplatz. Der Platz wird beherrscht von Fressbuden, grell beleuchteten Krimskrams- und umlagerten Alkoholständen. Dazwischen laden mehr oder weniger geschmückte Bierzeltgarnituren zum Verweilen ein. Zumindest, wenn man Bierzeltatmosphäre mag.
The Alex currently resembles an amusement park. The square is dominated by food stalls, brightly lit and clutter-besieged alcohol levels. In between load more or less decorated beer tents to stay. At least if you like beer tent atmosphere.

Mittendrin finden sich dann die Künstler und Artisten. Schade nur, dass ich als Mitglied der Spezies „abgebrochener Riese“ aufgrund der Menschenmenge einfach nichts sehen konnte.

Der Akku meiner Kamera war zusätzlich gegen mich. Nach ein paar Fotos gab mein Kameradisplay lediglich noch die Meldung „Akku schwach“ von sich.

The battery of my camera was also against me. After a few photos my camera was still only display the message "battery low" on his own.
Wenigstens konnte ich die Seil-Akrobaten noch im Bild festhalten. Erst aus der Nähe bemerkt man als Zuschauer, wie viel Kraft hinter einer solchen Leistung steckt.

At least I was able to hold the rope acrobats still in the picture. Only up close you notice as a spectator, how much power is behind such an achievement.

Das Festival geht noch bis zum 5. August, vielleicht gibt es ja an einem der anderen Tage mehr zu sehen. Dann natürlich mit vollem Kamera-Akku.
